This is quite interesting LINK

60-100: 6.9
1/4 Mile ET:
13.56
1/4 Mile Terminal:

Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 13.25
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 107

That is if the claimed output of my remap is correct

Mine:

Power to Weight: 139 bhp/ton
0-60: 7.4
0-100: 19.7
60-100: 12.3
1/4 Mile ET: 16.08
1/4 Mile Terminal: 89
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 15.78
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 91

Mrs Dopes car:

Power to Weight: 173 bhp/ton
0-60: 6.1
0-100: 16.0
60-100: 9.9
1/4 Mile ET: 14.56
1/4 Mile Terminal: 95
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 14.36
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 98

It's a messed up world.

Mrs Dope also has an old shape Mini with wide arches, minilite wheels, 1275gt engine, twin stainless pipes and a roll cage:

65bhp &601kg = 110bhp/tonne

So with a theoretical 150bhp engine in the same car

150bhp &601kg = 253bhp/tonne

Mental!

My figures for my 3.0 Cabriolet:

Power to Weight: 141 bhp/ton
0-60: 7.4
0-100: 20.3
60-100: 12.9
1/4 Mile ET: 15.79
1/4 Mile Terminal: 90
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 15.49
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 92

It will do for a car that is used 7 days a week.

My brothers 1972 midget with a toyota 1600 20V in it

Power to Weight: 244 bhp/ton
0-60: 4.5

1/4 Mile Terminal: 103
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 12.92
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 106

Here is a list of the proper kerb weights....not sure everyone is entering the right value there?

For the moment.....lol

This is out slightly too mine is 1525kg this link gives 1546kg the link is not accounting also for gearboxes Auto or Manual also 5 or 6 speed as the weight alters
also were is 1.9tdi quattros
best to look in the owners manual all GVW are listed there and all the engines drive configuration and gearbox specs use that if audi dont know who the hell does :)

hehe yeah, what bothered me is some folk posted higher bhp/ton figures than mine - with heavier motors too....mine is the 163 and the only higher powered one (standard) is the 190....which comes out at a different figure again so everyone was either not using the correct weight or over estimating the bhp of their car (unless remapped) - lol......

take paul for instance (sorry mate) - he has an avant, obviously heavier than my lighter "Sport" saloon, but yet his came out to more bhp/ton than mine....? How come?

If anyone has posted and used the correct weight, and the car has been remapped - how about putting that down too so we all know

Good idea, it's my thread and I make the rules! So from now on please list the weight you're putting and the claimed power output. I thankyou.

No worries mate remapped roaded at 172bhp but put in at 1450 when its actually after following my own advice 1525
Also its a 1.9TDi and theres no different setting to account for big torque low down a mapped diesel has ,
but its a laugh .

revised
FWD - 172bhp & 1525kg
Power to Weight: 115 bhp/ton
0-60: 8.9
0-100: 27.2
60-100: 18.3

No idea where Googled the kerb weight from first time round. It is heavier from that link (plus you could add a few more pounds if you like as I seem to have eaten to much pies and beer lately).

190bhp, 1450 kg
Power to Weight: 133 bhp/ton
0-60: 7.7
0-100: 21.1
60-100: 13.4
1/4 Mile ET: 16.38
1/4 Mile Terminal: 87
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 16.08
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 89

Mrs Dopes figures were for her 3.0 Z3.

Also non VAG I know - my folks old 4.5 Chimera just for the crack of it.

285bhp 1060kg
Power to Weight: 273 bhp/ton (!)
0-60: 4.9
0-100: 11.4
60-100: 6.5
1/4 Mile ET: 13.02
1/4 Mile Terminal: 110
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 12.72
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 112

My Audi:

130bhp &1546kg = 85bhp/tonne

Sorry, the target calculator requires the following parameters for FWD

BHP
90-750
KG
800-2000
BHP/Tonne
95 - 700

:sob:

My 1.3 Polo:

FWD - 225bhp & 830kg
Power to Weight:275 bhp/ton 0-60: 4.7 0-100: 12.0 60-100: 7.3 1/4 Mile ET: 13.09 1/4 Mile Terminal: 107 Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 12.79 Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 109

It's actually 0.2s quicker than that... and traps slightly over 110mph.

Nice little calculator though.

My (completely untouched) Avant:

FWD, 1590 & 155 gives :-
Power to Weight: 99 bhp/ton :sadlike:
0-60: 10.2
0-100: 33.5
60-100: 23.3
1/4 Mile ET: 18.90
1/4 Mile Terminal: 76
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 18.60
Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 78

So currently the worst posted - hmmmm...

New plan, #1 - clutch refurb (wish I'd read about multi-tronics before buying the car)
#2 tuning box or remap - decisions, decisions...

On the upside it's doing 45mpg at the moment.

Power to Weight:

FWD, 1.9TDI REMAPPED 160 BHP AVANT - 1450

0-60: 9.1 0-100: 27.9 60-100: 18.8 1/4 Mile ET: 17.79 1/4 Mile Terminal: 80 Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 17.49 Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 82

Power to Weight:

FWD, 1.9TDI REMAPPED 160 BHP AVANT - 1450

112 bhp/ton
0-60: 9.1 0-100: 27.9 60-100: 18.8 1/4 Mile ET: 17.79 1/4 Mile Terminal: 80 Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 17.49 Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 82

Cool Thread

4WD - 190bhp & 1510kg
Power to Weight:128 bhp/ton 0-60: 7.8 0-100: 22.0 60-100: 14.2 1/4 Mile ET: 16.51 1/4 Mile Terminal: 83 Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 16.16 Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 86

So I need around 320BHP to get the performance I want

4WD - 320bhp & 1510kg
Power to Weight:215 bhp/ton 0-60: 5.0 0-100: 12.9 60-100: 7.9 1/4 Mile ET: 13.39 1/4 Mile Terminal: 104 Dragstrip 1/4 Mile ET: 13.04 Dragstrip 1/4 Mile Terminal: 107

I can see this being addictive.
