Any reason you cant select a black edition or a 170 diesel in the configurator?????
They are updating the web site, would assume by sulphuric dip the time its taking them!

Yeah I think you're right on that one. Let's see what this new week brings! I hope I get some detail before the end of this week as I'm off to South Africa for two weeks on Sunday and who knows what will happen if I'm not around to push... oh yeah, nothing just like the past 3 months! Haha
I'm hoping to get a Build date by the end of this week. Will let you know as soon as i get something new!
Hi I have just ordered a black edition 170 diesel due sept. Would anyone recommend adding side skirts to make it look more sporty. Like it on the S3 so wondered if I could add it to this one. If anyone does recommend do they know of a good place I can get these? Thanks
I also need to remove from cradle from the phone prep on my current Audi, does anyone know how these are removed? Thanks

I went to a car dealership to ask if you can change my order to the MY11 model year on the 3rd day I got apposition of the contract was confirmed and ordered.
Delivery at the end of September 2010

Well I finally have been given a delivery date, tuesday 22nd! They wanted to bring it next tuesday but I'm away on holiday. It feels like I have been waiting for eternity and my enthusiam has waned somewhat however I'm sure nearer the day i'll be excited as ****!! For the last 2 months I've had to drive around in a BMW which has been a totally uninspiring car to drive. My wait is almost over.

No doubt! Like an expensive chair made of fine wood, but where's the fun in a chair? Plus as a single thirty something a BMW makes me look like a family man. Cant wait for the Udi.

Finally got a Build date which is week 38 mid Sept. Still a very long wait!
Wonder if they will build it ealier??
When did you order? I ordered in mid March, and have heard nothing since then really. I've been told early August and that has never changed. But know nothing about build date yet.
My SB BE was ordered a month ago and no news yet. How quickly did you get an idea of what your build date was? As it's a company car I can't chase up on it directly as there's a procurement team and then a lease company between myself and Audi! They have confirmed it's definitely going to be an MY11, but don't think there was any doubt on that though considering the current lead times. Just pleased I got it ordered before the price went up!

Ordered mine on the 19th April, got a build date 2 weeks ago and told 22nd september.

I guess the good news is, i should have a build date before, considering my order date. Frustrating thing is knowing nothing about it! Lease company being in the middle clearly doesn't help!

On the plus side its more likely that you will get a call earlier than you expected saying its here.

Some people are saying as much as two months earlier! (S3's only that applies too) i would bet mine and yours would be here early september. so 3 weeks early.

Yesterday I got the information from the auto dealer that I can have in July 2010 but will be without the adaptive light and electric seats.

Just had an estimated date of 23rd August for my SB BE which was ordered 18th May?! If that's right then it seems things have improved significantly! Would be great to get it early, but bit frustrating that it'd not be on the new plates. I'm not counting my chickens just yet though...
Information is 3rd hand (procurement team and lease company etc) so that's why I'm not banking on it... no build date given!

Popped into my Dealers this morning to look over some of the MY11 cars they have in, still nothing with the new wheels on but i like the bits.
Something that they have not shouted about is the petrol alarm on the TDI models, apparently there is now a sensor on the filler cap that measures the fuel hoze and blocks the tank at the cap if its not a diesel hose! cool.
As for my delivery date its still in the first week in september time meaning collection will be around the 20th Sept for me.

If this is correct, I hope I get some information from the lease company soon. I ordered on 22nd March, and have had no specifics at all. Fingers crossed. If i hear nothing soon, I think i'll have to get on the phone.
Bad news - Just got back from the dealers and my build date as been put back from week 38 to week 45 that in Oct! but he as told me this will not change now. They are going try sort out a car for me drive around in till i get my car, but if they can not do this then i'm thinking of cancelling my order. As 7 months wait for a car is just too long.

Diamond, the Director of the dealership told me yesterday that it was pretty hush hush but there is a contingency fun set aside to pay for compensation and car hire for people that have had there dates put back initially to september, they only told me yesterday that it was still Sept for me but mine was a week after yours so wont be happy if mine gets the shove too! i will be requesting a car from Sept 1st till i get mine if that happened.
Thats incredible though!
