Hi people! Was a bit bored yesterday so i thought i'd have a mess around with the car. Since i've put the rear wiper blank the rear washer has never been in use. So.... got thinking and thought of using the rear washer line and connecting a washer jet to the end:)

Very easy to do! At the moment i've just put a washer jet on the passenger side intercooler but i might connect a T onto it and have one on the other side too.

I'm not sure whether it'll make any difference to intake temps as the water isn't ice cold, but now when i flick the wiper fork back my intercooler gets a blast of water!

I'll try posting a video up later

I looked at these kind of things ages ago...
The general feeling was if i wanted to reduce intake temps fit water/meth injection.
I was going to get the set up from a mates evo as he fitted a huge cooler so doesnt use the water spray

I was just very bored Paul lol It probably won't have much if any positive benefits, after all it's just a bit of water on the surface. Would be interesting to see Meth/water injection:)

water/meth does work very well.

Sandip, intercooler spray will help, even if the water isnt freezing, its the windchill effect. Like when you stick a wet hand out the window you will find due to the water evapourating it is cooler than without water.

Thats good to know, i think i'll put another jet on the other side:)

When i was at Ten of the best last year when it was really hot people were spraying the intercoolers with NOS or putting ice packs onto of them ( Scobbys mainly with top mounts ) to give them more wind chill when going up the strip

the scooby boys do this alot. they convert the head light washer button on the dash into a IC spray. i dont it when i had a top mount never got round to doing it to my front mount. The STI`s have it as standard so it must do something (tho i didnt find any benafit)

Meth sounds interesting tho. Sandip i love playing with cars like that.... this is how you learn. Well Played!
