Had a visit from a beast

This is a Jaguar XKR with a 5 litre supercharged V8 with 510 bhp going through the rear wheels,the car to drive is quite refined until you plant it and then its silly fast as you'd expect,had a few miles driving in it and came to a roundabout and an Aston Martin Vantage was side by side and I got all nervous but it wasn't playing at all ( I could of started a Jag XKR versus Aston Martin Vantage thread ! ) the noise from the V8 is awesome and very thirsty 7.2 mpg was my best,on the way back we stopped the car and turned off the traction control and planted it but it never snaked which as your in an eighty grand car I was happy,after my brush with it am unsure whether I'd go for an R8 over this.
When big Gav left I could hear him for ages in the distance.

Beautiful car and I'd take an XKR over an R8, Modena or Aston (who wants an Aston with Ford sqitchgear all over it and a Mondeo key fob). One thing with the XKR though - it's a pure bitch widow-maker in the wet, just like a TVR!

Very nice looking car. My daily walk to the train station is past the local Jaguar garage and they have some lovely machines. The estates are nice too (can't remember the model name)

And I can't believe he let you drive it naked!

Wasnt sure on the Jags at first but certainly growing on me, bet the engine sounds fantastic, mmmmmhhhh!
