Hi, my s3 is showing a vag com faulty n249 valve which i am going to replace, should i be thinking of changing the n75 valve aswell, the car is seven and a half years old and totaly standard, would i see any improvement in fitting a forge dump vale over the oem one. Thanks

Have you tried clearing the faults to see if they come back ? When i remapped my S3 the N249 fault came up but after disconnecting the battery all was OK. There not cheap to buy either. The forge diverter valve wont make a noticeable difference to be honest, most people change them as there more robust than the standard one after a remap. Again there not very cheap !
Hi yes cleared the fault and it was back on when I checked it a week later, taken the engine cover off and checked all the hoses and they seem fine so think it must be the valve, the n75 vale may not be faulty but figured I may as well change it given the age of the car now and its covered 51000 miles.
Wouldn't bother changing the N75 valve myself to be honest - if it's not broken, don't fix it....
What are the symptoms of the N249 not working ? This fault limited boost on mine, ended up running about 180BHP when it should have been 250Bhp ish after the remap.

Various different symptoms to be honest, my mate's was unplugged and the car really struggled to dump boost when that was the case.
That and traction control issues.
no real symptoms, the car may be a little under powered from what others have said after driving it, but as i have driven it from new its hard for me to notice if there has been a gradual drop in power, also I don’t give it much stick so its probably adapted to my stile of driving
