Hi guys!

New here, I just purchased my mates A4 2.6 V6. Moved over from a loyal Honda driver! Like the car like the drive, so I think I may do some work to this baby. First things first new wheels /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hope you guys can help me out when I'm totally lost!

Cheers

Jay.

Someone said it in another welcome G, you live on this board /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm just trawling through the many threads trying to find answers to questions before I bombard everyone with the obvious /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Really glad I made the switch, but there is so much more I feel the car needs, and some minor issues need irong out. Just trying to learn as much from the threads to know where to start!

You guys all seem very welcoming and helpfull so I'm sure I'll get all the help I need, however stupid the questions!

Alrighty then, you asked for it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

1. I have a current problem when going over speed bumps, the front end seems to drop an awful lot (mainly drivers side) and the front bumper scrapes the floor. The problem is eliviated by having the tyres at high inflation (for speed/load). I was wondering if it had anything to do with the bearing arms recall that I'm booked in for?

2. I also have a wheezing noise when I first drive the car. More noticable in the cold morning starts or on a full right lock. My local garage says it the P/S pump, but advised some P/S fluid additive first over the next hundred miles or so to see if that reduces the problem!?

3. I want to throw some wheels on, currently have stock 195/65/R15. I was thinking 17/18" wheels but don't know what I should be looking for with regard to offset and the likes. also obviously depending on the 1st problwm wether it will be worth it before thats solved!

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif You did ask. After I've solved them three problems I'll see what I fancy next. May seem like I took on alot of problems but apart from the above, the cars mint and I paid almost nothing for it. So expected to pay a little on changing/sorting some stuff.

Cheers

1. It could be... it could also be your front suspension.

2. Don't know about the weezing sound... sorry

3. Well about the wheels... 18" are amazing, I have them offset 8.5" on my S4 sedan but I'm having slight problems... you should probably try 17"x8" probably better for your wheel arches.

hope it helps....
