I test drove a 2008 2 liter TT front wheel drive convertible and the road noise from the rear wheel area made conversation difficult. Has anyone put sound deadening material under the carpet or tried to eliminate the source of this noise? It has run flat tires which may contribute to it but it just seems the rear axle mounts transmit too much noise. Shortly after buying my current Z3 I read a post regarding sound deadening behind the seats and found it worked but I don't want to buy the TT unless I feel comfortable about making the cabin quieter. I drive some long road trips and comfort is important. Has anyone worked on this problem?
