Hi all,
having had a sucession of Omegas, XJ8's etc. I fancied an A8.
Jag sold....and picking up my new (to me) '99 A8 3.7 Quattro in silver with a fair few of the toys.
OK, so it's not as quick or as powerful as the jag...but it's got a HUGE boot, full service history, near immaculate paintwork & interior.
Took it for a test drive - but to be honest - I was buying it before I drove it.
One thing I must ask though - can the power steering assist be turned UP to lighten the steering a bit as it's as damn heavy (bit of programming at main stealership?). I know the Vauxhalls had three settings...and suspect that the American market would have a VERY light steering setup. Yeh, yeh...to weak to steer a real car...nah - just a ******** wrist.
Couple of photos of the car...will get some real ones later.
And that's not a steam cleaned engine bay - the previous owner's a prestige car detailer so it's ridiculously clean.
