I'm from the "states", New Jersey now, but moving to Phoenix soon.
I have a 2001 A6 2.7T Quattro Tip-Tronic, and I love the car.
I shopped for a BMW 540i until I drove my Audi, and then it was settled.
My son, who is a Bondurant Instructor, and generally fast race car driver, and drives everything from Ferraris and Cobras, to the school Corvette Z06's, took a ride in mine and bought one identical to mine, except the color. Mine silver, his bronze.
I bought mine used under the Audi Certified program that has given me a warranty for 100,000 miles and six years of coverage.
I couldn't be happier. I have however, begun to upgrade the brakes to 2002 S6 Sport, light weight calipers and drilled ATE rotors. The car already has the sport suspension (lowered about 1.5 inches) and the sport seats.
I'd love to hear from other's who are upgrading their A6's.
