BBS LM Yumm!
Hiya,
I'm new to Audi Sport but not to Audis. My previous car was an Audi A3 (8L) 1.6 with a 1.8T lump in it.
I did the conversion to avoid high insurance but weren't bothered about the fuel costs.
I want to do another project, an Audi A4 (B5) Saloon.
I was thinking to buy an Audi A4 2.8 Quattro and an Audi A4 1.8 and swapping lumps around and other parts.
However I was thinking whether or not I could get away with buying both cars, taking the plates off the 1.8 and sticking them on the V6, scrapping the 1.8 and disposing of the logbook of the V6 Quattro.
I mean if both of the cars are identical, who is to know?
COULD IT WORK??
Obviously the engine bay will tell a different story, I mean if I have an accident and the car is a write off, the insurance company will find out that the car has a different engine in it. I'm not worried about this at all.
Please reply to let me know what you think
