Well, now I have had the motor for 6 days (600+ miles and 4 washes), I thought I would post up some pics. 2.0 TDi SE A3. 2003, 74k. Nice honest reliable motor while the Golf is still having work done (again, cheers Grum, you're a star mate).

Now all I need is the Alloys to go with the substantial drop and my evil plan will be realised, lol.

On another note. My brother in law has just bought himself a VAG aswell...

Rim wise, I have a set of 18" BBS Callitos on the way. I believe they were the £200 upgrade option on the S-line. I also believe the springs to be a rather substantial drop, hopefully not too much, lol.

I also have a Golf Mk4 GTi though. So am looking at wheels for it as well. But think I might get them in 5x112 and get some adaptors, so I can change them around as and when I feel like. Was thinking of 19" BBS LM (reps) for the Golf. So I'll just see what looks best on what car, and decide from there. The Golf is away getting a Live RR remap just now, hence there are no pics of that aswell.

Rest assured though, once I get them both together, they will get a good polish, and then will take some nice pics (my bro-in-law just got a Nikon D60 and is a bit of an amatuer photographer, so maybe get some decent ones). Although I will only have the Callitos on at this point. Gotta wait on new stock arriving for the LM's, Boooooo.

Of course, I am open to suggestions to replace the reps. I have a budget of about £1k, so if anyone has anything? Or can suggest something...

Update.

Well, got me some new wheels and tyres, so decided to trial fit them to the A3. Not sure if I won't put them on the Golf mind, but they will look good on the A3.

Although, you could park a cruise ship between the tyre and the arch at the moment :boot: . Need to get them springs on now I think. Anyway. Photo's. Enjoy.

Could still do with a polish though :drink:

Car looks nice, but them wheels look tiny on the car, but i think this will be compensated if you drop it

Yeah they do. Hopefully getting the 55mm lowering springs on this weekend.

Oh, and I ordered my STB3 for it aswell, and am getting it all RR'd for comparison for before and afters, woo hoo. (Should get the unit tomorrow, then we'll see about the RR after).

After that, it'll just be tints I think, well, until I decide about trying the facelift for myself, lol.

Well, the Polo aint mine, but I think he's wanting some wheel and a new interior. Think thats about it.

I have a MK4 Golf GTi aswell though, and thats big plans, lol. K03s turbo, turbo back miltek, green top injectors, N75J, Silicone TIP, Forge 007P, Green Cotton Panel Filter, Dastek twin intercooler set-up, Dastek Uni-Chip, coilovers, polly bushed all over, Drilled and grooved fronts, uprated rear with green stuff pads all round. Currently sitting at 230 BHP, but is away getting a few more tweaks so expect about 240-250 BHP. Hopefully get it back next week. Then its into the painters for R32 bumper, badgless grill, LCR splitter, and a few other general touch ups.

Lighting is Anniversary style headlights, with HID's, and rears are Hella colour magics all black. Should be nice when its all finished. Just need her back, painted, then get some wheels for her, lol.

Well, another small update. Just had the Fast Road remap (Chipped UK's ST3) installed and took her for a drive. Initially, I wasn't too impressed, but every extra mile saw an increase in the size of my smile as the engine took better to the map.

Very happy with it. Just gotta get Vagcom for some power plots and I'll be writting a full-on review for anyone else who is thinking of going down this route...

No updates to speak of. The A3 has been relegated to the daily driver. Just had an MOT. 21k in the last year. Pretty impressive, lol. (since I was working out the country for 120 days last year aswell).
