Hi guys been lurking around for a short while and think its time to say hello I've purchased an audi s3 that needs some tlc, ie electrical prop elms and poss needing a new engine, so hopefully you guys might be able to help me out a bit,

Hi John, welcome to audi-sport.net. Enjoy the forum. :) x

Hi mate im not far frolm York nr Bridlington - id reccoment autotechnica in hull for any servicing or issues you have search them on google mate. is it 8p or 8l s3???

aright good choice post facelift then - new engine wont be cheap - i had mine rebuuilt by autotechnica cost me about 2000£

Yes I read your other post, I'm not sure if engines u/s on this car but I'm quite shore it is, what new parts did they have to fit to yours and what kind of warranty did they give thanks

ive come from Bmw and other sports cars, never really had anything other than sports cars since passing my test but this is one of my all time fav cars I've always said I would get at some point in my life, I never managed to get one of the first but this came up at the right cash I think , but I did buy it thinking I would have to put an engine in it and if not then its a bonus

ive looked through the site for a while and it nice to see there are a lot of very clever members on here and very helpful, I'm hoping I can pick there brains and come to some meets. My little lad is a mad petrol head and the audi is his favourite manufacture ( loves the R8) and the s3

sorry to go on a bit

Hi guys had a little play with the car today for a couple of hours, I've managed to sort out some problems, and now the car will turn over fine but it will not fire up at all, turns over fine but just seems like there's no spark so to speak, anyone got any ideas to help me out, cheers

You don't have any diagnostic testing equipment do you, I live just outside H/gate little village called Kirk Hammerton

I will if I get this car sorted and on the road it would be good to meet smoother owners , I've never driven one of these yet, I've had an R32 Mkv that I loved and once sold wished I hadn't, and then for the last 6 years I've had bmw m3's I between the golf and always said one of these would be my all time favo car's + I'm 46 and out of a the sports cars I've had ( which is a lot) I don't think I've had a turbo car , so looking forward to sorting this car

I have had company cars until last year (change of direction and company) now have a company van. Had sensible cars for the past 10 years, the wife needs something to use for the school run and to get her to work.

I have always wanted an Audi, so when the Astra decided it was going to start to cost money we changed, and I'm still loving it.

ShaunS3 coded my cruise control after I fitted it. PM him but he's based in Huddersfield

Your little lad sounds cool, obviously picks his cars well. I'm 29 and I still love the R8. I love my S3 too. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks guy for the welcome , yeah he takes after me, with his choice of cars, I don't keep my car for that long but I think when I've sorted this out, I buy a few damaged ones and repair them when I'm not to busy with my building and most on the time ill run them for a few months or give the wife one for her and the kids, or ill sell and try to make a few notes for the next car, it's a hobby I've had for over 25 years ,
Thanks again guys
