Any help please! A4, B7, Avant 2.0 140 TDV Starting Problem...

Hi there blokes, wonder if anybody could help please... I have an A4, B7, 2007my 2.0 140ps BRE engine, that's started to play up recently. From time to time, the car won't start; turns over strongly but feels like the immobiliser has kicked in. Someone recons it may be Relay no 106 playing up & this is a common fault? I could do with finding out the part no really & replace. Any ideas or fixes would be much appreciated! Best rgds... Phil

Hi Phil, I'm no expert so hopefully somebody with greater technical knowledge of your particular model can help. With that out of the way I think Relay 106 has something to do with the ABS rather than the Immobiliser. If that's correct than that's not your issue. Suspect more information would be required to offer other suggestions...

Tnx Eric, the chap whom looked at it sed that there was some problem with 106 which is affecting vacuum effect, stopping some thing else from working in the fuel system, thus non starting! Modern Tech, eh...
