I have recently taken on a 1999 A3 8L 1.8T.
I live in Fethiye, South-West Turkey. I have a local specialist working on the car. He seems to know his stuff and as an ex-rally driver he is quite excited by the project. He is helping to recover the damage done to the car by what seems to be a series of adolescents who have made cosmetic changes but have messed up what should have been the important changes. Anyway, after a partial engine rebuild & camshaft change, uprated turbo and exhaust system, suspension upgrade and installation of intercooler the car is going to a specialist for remapping this week. We are aiming at around 250bhp.
