Evening everyone, I'm new to the forum and currently looking at buying a b7 a4 avant tdi 170 is there anything you could give me a heads up on?

Hi mate welcome to the family, don't know much about the b7 tdi as I own a b5 but I'm sure someone will help you out here mate, great bunch of lads (and ladies)

the only heads up i can give on this are basically the injectors can be suspect, but the dealers are doing a recall if not already done, and if its got a dpf fitted (diesel particle filter) and you do relatively short journeys (less than 20miles) then maybe you should not buy one! as short journeys are not liked by these motors as they get choked up!

Any car with a dpf needs it's head kicked in at least once a week to clear the filter out....

Hi Jen, is it only the 170's that are fitted with the Dpf ?? ( was it on 2006 models ) dads 140 had a couple of missing' issues lately - but hey, he drives it like its worth 2.5 million !! Lol
