Thread: A4/A6 1.8t Clutch replacement

Hi All

I am having some issues and need some much needed wisdom...

I am removing the engine on my 1.8t AEB and can't get an angle or my socket set onto all the 16mm bolts that hold the trans to the block. Is there a secret or a special extension that makes this easier.
The car is is jacked up and the Engine is then jacked up again off its mounts to give better access but the space seems to be beating me. I don't really want to pull the whole tranny and gearbox out.

Also, any suggestions on where to get a slightly uprated clutch kit from? The car is my DD so want something a bit more solid than stock but not race hard!
