Hi all, I'm new to the forum and Audi.. enjoyed browsing most of the threads so far, you guys seem like a friendly bunch. 
First off I currently drive a bagged mk4 Golf Gti with a Bora front end, and i'm looking to jump into something a little newer and cheaper to run. Was planning on getting a mk5 tdi, but after a looking into this i've found that with my budget i can get hold of its more refined cousin lol, so i'm set on an A3 tdi at the moment.
Still weighing up the pros/cons/differences between the 1.9, 2.0 140 and 2.0 170.. from what i've read i'm swaying towards a 140..? Feel free to shed some light or send me in the right direction..
Anyway i'm sure i'll enjoy my stay no matter what i end up buying
