Newbie looking for a Quattro

Hi all,

I have just sold my 530d sport and now on the hunt for an A4 Quattro Sport with good spec, FSH and reasonable mileage. I have a budget of £8000.

If anybody could point me in the direction of a buyers guide it would be very helpful, thanks

are you looking for a particular chassis i.e B5, B6 etc?

I am looking for any model that meets my criteria:

2003 onwards
A4 Quattro Sport with S-Line kit(saloon)
Around average mileage
Manual Box
Leather interior
High Spec
Minimum 170 bhp (would prefer closer to 200bhp)
Preferably diesel but will consider a petrol (B7 diesel prices are still quite high)
Excellent condition.

i recommend searching for a B6 A4 1.8T(190) S-Line Quatty, very rare but exclusive and a very nice car mate, for 8K you can get a very very nice B6, ive seen low mileage 40k going for 5-6 large so you should get a nice one mate, have a search around on piston heads and autotrader to see what results come up

Thats really nice but I cant help thinking about the diesels with the current fuel costs....

How reliable are the 1.8T (190bhp) and 2.5 tdi (180bhp)'s.

Are there any common faults.

Still hunting for a buyers guide. I thought I would have found something by now.
