Have seen several posts regarding two problems I have with my otherwise fantastic A8 4.2, First Transmission, it has developed a nasty clunk when I engage either drive or reverse, also a whine similar to a wheel bearing noise from the front end ( both front bearings replaced )above 50/60 mph, gearbox otherwise works fine good crisp gearchanges, tiptronic OK. The other annoying problem is water from the heater vents under the dash spilling onto the footwell either side when i go round a quick bend, you can hear water slushing in the heater system, must be rainwater getting into the heater vents somewhere. Anyone experienced simlar problems, possibly advise on remedies, Also anyone recomend a specialist repairer with good A8 experience. Thanks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif
