hi people as the title of the topic says me and a friends are looking into putting a vag turbo engine (1.8T from a 2000 reg) into a lupo and need as much info as possible before attempting such a task.

questions are as follows:

1: will anything need to be changed with the engine mounts on the lupo need to be altered in any way to accept the vag turbo engine?? or will the engine sit nicely on the existing mounts??

2: will the engine bay itself need to be cut about in anyway to accept the engine??

3: will the vag turbo driveshafts fit into the lupos existing hubs or will i have to convert the lupo to accept the hubs from a a3 or golf??

4:would it be best to get a front mount intercooler and custom fit it in the bumper or can the vag turbo 1 be put in a suitable place??

any help would be much appreciated.

You beat me to it Chris - Bill Brockbank built one for his Missus. He is on the forum (user id badger 5) as he also has an S8 so you could PM him or contact him via www.badger5.co.uk

I thought JBS built the one Bill's Missus drives?
