    idle problem, 1.4 golf mk 4

    Think i should start again, VW golf 1.4 mk 4

    When the car is idle, the car shakes and the revs go up and down

    any ideas ??

    try a new "coolant sensor" around 27 quid,same part is cheaper at audi,at around 21 quid. Im sure it will cure your problem.
