Does anyone know where the airbag module is located in a vw polo 2002, and also what is the process of replacing an airbag module I.e. Does it need recoding? Or can it just be replaced and checked by VCDS TO erase airbag light???

I think that the airbag module is located under the center console, behind the ashtray.
It is my believing that the airbag module must have the same part number and must be coded with the same soft coding from the "older" one.
