TPS / ECU ?

Hi guys, I have a 2002 VW Caddy SDI and I'm getting this intermittent problem!
1) Turn the key drive off and around as long as I like and all is fine!
OR
2) Turn the key and no throttle response apart from slightly higher revs and I go no where!

Can anyone help with a diagnosis please?

No, no lights on on the dash, just ticks over but no throttle response

Turned out to be the alternator & battery! go figure, not enough power to go around!

Your lucky, just replaced a fried ecu for a buddy with similar issue
