Took the car to a rolling road Thursday 161 first run, 151 second. It was pinking lots (quite shocked at that)and backing the timing like mad and dumping fuel in.
It's had a recent maf, service inc all filters. I did an mot emissions test and it flew through. Before the dyno run it would not go above 125 and when you backed off it accelerated slightly-ties up with the timing findings( I know 95 will make it back off a touch but 30hp ?!? It drove no differently on vpower). It is flat in high gears under load
Any ideas that could assist in me making my car safe to enjoy I will be most grateful however. I'm thinking possibly a blocked cat? Excuse for a downpipe at least.
No fault codes on vag com, it is getting the requested boost by the looks of the logs
Also when cold ie just started with the lights on, the lights dim and revs drop every 5 seconds or so for a split second and power drops momentarily too. This happens for maybe 1 or 2 minutes. Alternator?!?
