Thread: year 2000 w reg volkswagen golf 1.6 petrol cambelt change ?

Hi i am just bought a w (2000) reg Volkswagen golf 1.6 petrol off my brother and it only has 60k miles on the clock and it has never been driven fast and it is in fantastic condition. it has never had its cambelt changed but would you advise me to change it or not or leave it for abit ?

should have been changed at least 5 yrs ago

It's 70k ish and every 5 yrs, whichever is sooner. So even tho milage is low, it should actually be on its second belt by now

seems a good car to me
