hi folks, new to the forum /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gifI have a 1997 golf TDI 1900cc AHU engine with AC this noise on tickover is driving me crazy.
I know what it is but cannot find a way to cure it.
The alternator belt flaps between the crank pulley and the a/c compressor. i have changed the belt and the idler that fits on the end of the belt auto tensioning adjuster but the noise is still their,the belt itself seems to have enough tension on it,
if i take the belt off all is quiet.
any ideas
