Remote Windows

Hi, My mate has a T reg 1.8 Golf GTI and was wondering if he can get remote window close/open from the key fob, he can from inserting the key and holding it in the shut position. Any help on this subject would be great.

if he has got the same key fob as an A3/S3 all you need to do is lock the car and hold the lock button to close the windows and vice versa to open them. You just need to hold it for a while thats all.

Bit of a gimmick really.

VW never fitted this to any golf.

But i've just fitted one to my 2000 MK4 1.8t

To be honest the auto windows can be a pain in the ar*e, especially if the keyfob is in your pocket and you don't realise that they have accidently wound down as the button depresses itself. I always find that i have to double check whether or not the car is locked and the windows are still up. Personally i wouldn't bother with it!
