Anyone else excited about this?

I can remember getting the original GTA the day it came out on the Playstation after playing a 5minute demo of it literally every day. When it came out I played it loads and was part of the original online modding scene for the game, learning how to create custom cars, maps, physics specs and missions (top down made things fairly straight forward but still involved)

Amazes me how much its all changed now, the new stuff looks visually stunning and cant wait to get lost in it. From what Ive heard the realisum level has been ramped up a bit more, with you having to actually 'hotwire' stolen cars etc.

Anyway... Im well looking forward to it, think it could be a week off work for me to play it when it surfaces (its already late for those of you that dont know, was due last year but looking like it could be april time)

Ill be booking a few days off for releaseday lets put it that way, think ill be getting it on 360 rather than waiting for the PC version, PC version will pwn but the 360 has exclusive content and I dont think I will be able to wait for the PC release

PC Version for me when its out, but PS3 Version will tide me over till then!

I like GTA because I get to go round blowing peoples heads off after a long hard day, and lets face it, its easier to clean up the PS3 than it is real life!

You will have to go through it all again though!!

Graphics on the PC version will make it worthwhile though, got spec?

GTA series has always been cool, its like the Font they use, PriceDown, was created by a man called Ray Larabie (sp) who used to come onto all the forums back in the day and talk to all the GTA Geeks, top bloke. Belive he did alot of the shading on the cars in GTA 2, which was why the whole game had the more grimey, futureistic feel.

God thinking about this is making me feel like a virgin again!

Not got a specialist games PC atm, Im not too techy when it comes to all that, leave it to a bloke I work with!

Got him building me a top spec games one atm which is mainly for GTA sadly! He confuses me by saying words like thermaltake and water cooled and I just switch off there and then!

I can imagine why you would think that but no its not!

I like getting an idea of what spec people are running for gaming in general, just keeps me up to date!

I heard the 360 version was ready last year but they're having to rewrite a lot of code for the PS3 version...they're contracted to do a simultaneous release so we'll just have to wait until the latter is ready...

Looking forward to it though!

Thats funny, i heard the reason why its taken so long to be released was because the 360 version could not handle the whole game, and so they had to downsize the game thanks to the xbox 360. The ps3 version was original ready many months ago. Someone correct me if im wrong.

I heard that too.

Just been watching trailers on youtube and im more excited than a fat kid on easter sunday.

Im glad its delayed so they get it right with the PS3... Id hate to get this far along the GTA route to finally get one I dont like!

BTW, price wise... Preorders are at about £40 it seems... but Amazon have preorders at £35.

Mine's also on pre-order. Got it for £25+P&P from eBay! (they gave me a £10 discount for robbing me of so much of my hard earned over the years)

Already played it on a pals "special" 360 and it is the nuts!!!

I had a look on play but the bundle wasn't released until June originally. Now it's showing in stock but for £299.99.

Been playong for a couple of hours, haven't even scratched the surface. Looking forward to giving it a better run later tonight.

I ordered it yesterday and they tried to deliver it today but i was at work so i'll have to pick it up tomorrow. Tomorrow night i have a date grrrr. Looks like thursday i'll be having a go.

Bought Gta 4 yesterday and have only played it for a few hours, but im well pleased with it so much more to do and it seems alot more realistic.
Cant wait to play it properly now lol

I played it for 10 mins and thought... blah. Played it for a few more a little more awake and now hoping it never ends!

My 360 has crashed about 10 times whilst playing GTA IV, never on anything else.

The first time if froze was after about 6 hours of play, so I put it down to that. Last night, it froze twice in the first 20 minutes of play, needing a reboot each time.

Just got it on the 360.1st impressions are mixed-It looks realy good and driving through the city is smooth,but there are times when out of the car and up close to people that it looks rather basic!
Also dont like being that bloke in it,Its a shame they cant alow you to tailer a custom made lead role.I didnt mind being that mafia geezer in the the 1st two 3d games(I think i had it on ps2 and xbox)but i couldnt stand the african amercian one with poxy BMX bikes and *****es and hoes.

I was a bit mixed reactions too... I HATE the phone thing... plus the fact that I have to get my ass off the sofa to go closer to the tv to read it. I mean when was the last phone you sayw with a green screen and black text?!?! WTF!
