LOUD FAN PS3. SOUNDS LIKE A HAIR DRIER. HELP

My fat ps3 40gb sounds like a hair drier in summer time but its ok.
stripped it down and replaced the thermal paste.
internally it was not dusty.
ive done it twice but the problem persists.
ive been told that the ps3 slim has the same problems.
can anyone help.
 
Think i used Arctic Cooling MX-4, not the easiest stuff to spread out but did the trick on mine.

Be careful to make sure the stuff you use is safe for use on aluminium heatsinks.
