Unable to log into Engine Control Module to activate Cruise Control

    Hi all,

I installed cruise on my A3 last year with no probs. I recently installed the hardware for a colleague, and upon trying to activate the cruise by loggin into the module with '11463' got the following error:

    VCDS Login Invalid
'Login Code not Accepted by Controller'

I have tried searching the forums for answers but no luck. I got some google results about some modules not supporting login to activate , and that people configured cruise using the long coding - but I cant find how you would do this.

    Here are some VCDS extracts:

    Any help appreciated

    Hi,

I installed a genuine cruise stalk from Audi - I didnt run the extra 'cable' to the bulkhead as this car is a '56 and I didnt think they need it? (I had to run the cable on my 2004 3.2).

I coded the SWC using VCDS and it accepted the coding for 'cruise but no o/b comp'. I can see the buttons working in measured values.

I dont see why the engine module wont take the '11463' code, as i would assume this is unrelated to the SWC?

I read on some A4 posts about the '11463' method not working for some SWC controllers?

    TIA

The retrofit CC kit for vehicles with the AH controller includes a new steering controller and costs £220.

The kit for vehicles with the AF controller doesn't include a new unit and costs £62.

Therefore I assume that AH does not support CC !
