Vagcom steering re-align/calibrate after a 4 wheel alignment?

Hi All,
When I had my winter tyres fitted I had a 4 wheel alignment done at the garage, now the traction control light cuts in long before it should do. I had it checked for faults at my local garage and no sensor faults came up. I was told that you need to re align the steering with VAGCOM to correct this fault. Has anyone ever done this or had this problem ??
