    FAULT:- Coolant Fan Control Circuit 1: Electrical Malfunction

    Can't seem to fix this fault that i have on my car (2006 A3 2.0TFSI Quattro) , Car over heats and my rad fans don't turn on. I've checked all the wiring and they all seem okay. i've looked on the ross tech wiki and its says to check the fuses. i can't find the fuse for the coolant fan and after searching on here it seem there isn't one. Is this right??? Checked all engine bay and interior fuses and none are blown. Has anyone had any similar problems like this or have any idea how to fix it. Please help

    There's definitely a fuse for the fans as some people have changed there's when the climate econ light is on permanently after it blowing, assumming you stuck a meter on the fan wires to check for any voltage?

    Could very well be a fan unit, you can pick one of ebay fairly cheap tbh mate, saw one other day for small poundage.

    I'll see when it stops terrentialy raining & trying to snow, if I can dig out the fuse number/location.

    Okay mate, i'll have another look in the user manual to see where the fuse is. Also i'll get a volt meter on the fan wires. thanks for your reply

    i had this exact fault on a golf GTI at work yesturday, i know its a golf but its the same engine and fans ect. after exstensive searching i found the fuse. if you open your bonnet and look for the fuse box situated to the right hand side of the battery. take off the lid and you should see all the fuses, now if you look at the very front theres multiple RED live wires going to the fuse box. there fastened on with 2 8mm nuts. iirc the one you want is the 2nd or 3rd red wire counting from the LEFT it has a 50amp flat fuse between the 8mm nuts. u'll find that has blown.
