Hi Chaps,
I'm about to buy a cat converter for my 1.6FSI and on the website where I'm buying it from:
http://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/Pr...egoryID=114063
It says that from 1.6FSI engines from August '03 - May '04 has the engine code BAG. My car is 04 but I dont have the V5 (away with DVLA for numberplate retention) so can't check exact date of manufacture.
Is there anyway I can check the engine code using VCDS?
I originally assumed it would be under the 01-Engine module, then went to 'Advanced ID' and the only field I assumed would have anything to do with the engine code would be the 'Identification', which reads 'BPG-810'...
According to the website there are only 2 engine types, BLP and BAG...
Thanks,
Edit: Under the advanced ID part of Engine I have found that my car was manufactured on the 22.04.04, should I rely on this and go for the BAG part?
