Can ESP be set to Off?

Does anyone know if you can revert the ESP button so that when the car is turned on the ESP is off and you have to press the ESP button to turn it back on. I always have it off in my 8L S3 and its a pain having to press the button every time I turn the car on. In theory this sounds pretty easy to do but just cant find the setting, if it exists?

Id also like to know, and the anti lock brakes.After the mullarky in the snow, id rather brake and lock up, turn the wheel release the brake and steer round whatever i might hit.Try doing that with the interfering alb.

I'm with you on this one & would like my ESP to be OFF as the default, seriously doubt it can be done via coding tho. It wouldn't be difficult to disable the system but to be able to switch it back on via the original switch may prove difficult. I'll have a look into it.

I've had a look for anything obvious in the latest VCDS but It doesn't look like anything simple, if it cvan be done at all.
