Basic vag com cable software?

Hi could some 1 please point in me in the direction for a vag com cable/software that will work with my 2001 AMK s3 and a sony laptop,i saw a few on ebay but have no idea which ones to go for,

The ones on eBay will normally be 3rd party copy leads and trial versions of the software.
