Any one with VAGCOM near Selby

Has any one got VAGCOM in the Selby area that would be able to help?

On the way hpme tonight just noticed the EML on. Car runs fine no probs. All i can think is that it could be caused due to the prat who went into the back of me last week. Although the light would have come on sooner i would have thought.

You could try Colin Hickes, could be ideal as he is a mobile VW/Audi technician based near York - mobile number 07828 675352. The guy in Knaresborough who did my detailing had a VW himself and recommended Colin when I had a similar problem with the EML.

I ended up visiting Autologic, the Audi / BMW independent guys in Harrogate, instead (01423 525335) and they read & reset my fault code while I was there for free and then sorted out the problem very reasonably, you'd have to go to them though.

Thanks for that will give him a go. I've managed to reset the EML by removing the battery, but this i think will only be a temporary soloution.

I have now spoken to my insurance company who are putting it on with my original claim so the repairers will look at reading the errors. However i will still contact the above chap as it may prove benefical at a later date. So i'll let you know.

Sorry for the late reply. I've ended up contacting this co http://http://www.ivcleeds.co.uk/index.htm They are going to charge £25 +VAT for the diagnoses slightly more than Colin Hickes (who gave a good price and was very pleasent to deal with) IVC will also deal with any work needing doing under warranty.

what car is it you drive mate ive got the basic vag com but it woin't work on can cars it works on my a4 b5 model if it works on yours i'll do it for a tenner ! i live in ponte about 10 miles from selby

Andy - I think Kofidee has Vag and can do it, if Ginna's wont work.
