hi , audi a3 2.0 tdi 04
on way to work this morning the yellow engine light lit up on dash and has stayed on .
done a scan and this has come up

Can I suggest that you take a look at this thread (if you haven't found it already) Help - P3103 V157 - Motor Intake Manifold Flap - EGR Valve...How do i solve?

You will probably have to replace it and a fuse.

am i right in saying that the flap should be shut when the engine is of ?

I had this problem about a month ago, before the errors came up, I had a loud buzzing noise coming from the engine area, which turned out to be the IMF.

It also affected my aircon as well for some reason so had to get it replaced.

Yes because it blows the fuse that supplies the fan controller.

i had this problem two days ago mechanics where able to close flap,saved me a fortune
