A3 1.6l lambda help needed

I scanned for fault codes on an 01 Audi A3 1.6l with an engine code AVU. the MIL lamp is on and it's got a 17526 code which from the Ross-Tech Wiki site reads Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating; B1 S2: Open Circuit. Now Bosch lists two lambda sensors for the AVU engine code, Would I be correct thinking that this code is for the rear lambda sensor??? I'm assuming it needs replacing but don't want to make an expensive mistake, anyone have some insight?

yep, its the rearmost sensor, you can do a resistance check across the heater element when you plug it out.
