    fault code

    hi
    i vagcomed a mates car ( mk4 golf ) today for him as his traction light has been on for about a month he said.
    this is what it came up with.

    Address 03: ABS Brakes Labels: 1C0-907-37x-ESP-F.LBL
    Part No: 1C0 907 379 M
    Component: ESP FRONT MK60 0102
    Coding: 0011266
    Shop #: WSC 01271


    1 Fault Found:
    00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
    014 - Defective


    i hear that sometimes there is a way of calibrating but since its coming up defective i thought not.
    anyone shed any light on this for me, ie whats involved,where is it located, how much etc...

    I did a bit of reading up on this sensor a few months back when my ABS/ESP lights were on constantly. I had a faulty wheel speed sensor but if I remember correctly the steering angle sensors are in the cockpit of the car. One on the steering column somewhere and one accessable through the glove box.

    Do a search in the S3 8L forum as it was mentioned a lot in there.
