    Error code 001137

The Emissions Warning Light has just come on on my A3 2.0TDI-170.

I ran an Auto-Scan and it came up with the following error:

    Address 01: Engine Labels: None

I've done some searching but this particular code does not seem to be listed.

The car is booked in to the dealers tomorrow for them to check, but I wondered if anyone has any idea what would cause the error. The car appears to be running OK.

This code is known and quite famous too, can either be the sensor itself, it's pressure lines or the ECU software. Checks are performed in the order I named the issues and last but not least the software update should be performed no matter what. This means your current software version 03G-906-018-DN @ 0425 should be 1247 after your dealer visit. The issue is filed under TPI 2011280.

I visited my dealer this afteroon and they connected it to their diagnosics computer system. Needless to say it showed the same error. I spoke with Master Technician who was doing the checking and he seem very interested in the fact that I had some software that gave the same result!

The car is going in on Monday to have it's first AVS service and the technician has ordered a new sensor and pipe lines and said he will look further into it then. He also said the pipes have been modified since mine was built. I think I'll take my laptop with me and let him have a look!

My car went into the dealers today and they replaced the Exhaust Pressure Sensor and carried out a software upgrade listed as Recall 23B6.

I run an Auto-Scan tomorrow and see what version of the software this gives.
