Boot unlocking problem

Bit of a problem which I hope someone can help me with.

At the moment I don't have selective unlocking enabled in vag com. When I unlock the car from the remote, all the doors unlock (front and rear) but the boot stays locked. I can't even open the boot from the latch button. I have to use the middle remote button and it's a real pain.

The latch button is working fine as if I open the boot and press the button you can hear the mechanism working.

I've tried enabling selective unlocking in vag com and that's not working either - it just unlocks all doors, no matter what the setting is in vag com.

If I measure group 4 in channel 46 it shows the rear lid button as being non operational.

What I'd like to happen is that when the car is unlocked from the remote, all the doors and boot are unlocked so I can open the boot from the latch button and not have to use the middle button on the remote all the time. Hoping someone can help me out as it's really doing my head in!!

Went through your scan but the only thing related to your trunk lid problem could IMHO be the real lid security lock mentioned in the coding. As far I understand what you are saying, it could be the button/micro switch being faulty.

Regarding the selective locking you are trying to enable, there are 3 instances where this can be enabled. The coding, the adaptation channels and last but not least the DIS menu in the instrument cluster.

Thanks for the info Sebastian - I'll take a look at the security lock setting in the long coding and will go through the adaptation channels. Failing that it will mean a trip to the stealers I think.

Quick update - selective unlocking is now working properly - I set it via the DIS (I didn't know you could do this - much easier!). Also looks like you can set the window convienience closing settings using the DIS as well.

Will hook up vag-com tomorrow morning to see if I can sort the boot unlocking issue.

Right, have disabled the security lid lock in the coding, and still the boot won't open unless I use the middle button on the remote - really weird.

Will see if there is anything in the adaptation that might sort it at some point.

You're right there isn't any adaptation

Just a bit annoying that I can only use the middle button on the remote to open the boot - oh well, next time it's in at the stealers I'll get them to take a look.

The micro switch works fine when the boot is open, just doesn't do anything when the boot is closed.

I may be leading you astray,but I have been looking for a adapation code to "auto shut" my windows using 1 click on the remote(rather than holding the button) and came across this page:http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/...fort_Functions

It talks about matching buttons on the remote.
