ESP Fault code

Ran Vag com and got the following code.

Control Module Part Number: 1C0 907 379 E
Component and/or Version: ESP FRONT MK60 0103
Software Coding: 0019970
Work Shop Code: WSC 06435
1 Fault Found:
01423 - Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200)
012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit

Ross tech wiki shows the following solutions:

1. Check Supply Voltage - Does this mean the battery could be weak?
2. Check Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200) faulty - Where is the sensor located. I'm hoping it may need a clean as the ESP light flickers when I drive through surface water when its raining?
3. Perform Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200) Basic Setting - How is this done?

Had an intermittent ESP fault myself a while back and it was caused by a dodgy engine speed sensor that initially was not showing a fault.

When the speed sensor did generate a fault the rpm was surging like hell and ESP was lit all the time.

New sensor job sorted.
