simple question regarding vag-com

I have been given a non genuine lead,it works but only on very basic things,what i want to know is,if i register the lead/software with rosstech will all functions work? i.e output tests/service lights etc etc.

Its a usb lead,im only using it to do minor jobs on my own cars so version 409 or so is ok. as long as i can reset service lights/airbag lights etc.

The answer, which if you bothered to search this forum for similar threads, has been given before. It will probably do what you want to do with the full licensed version if it is able to read and operate with all of the modules under the shareware version. Since we do not know your hardware, there are no guarantees. It may not do what you need to do. But then it just might.

Next time, could you try searching the forum first to get an answer? This one gets old.

As Bruce said, this is really really getting old - 'cause we answered exactly these questions to you already and whenever we asked you where your licensed current version came from we never got a reply from you.

I am using VAG-COM 409.1-S, With aftermarket usb lead,it works some functions but wont re-set service indicator/output tests etc,etc.

if i want to re-set service indicator it dont allow,it says ''register to activate'' shareware version,i dont mind paying to register just want make sure it will work properly if i do regiter.
