Excessive Comms Errors

Right, i've had a look around on the forum and on Ross tech and cant find what to do to sort this problem.

When i connect my laptop to the car and start a scan it seems to be working fine then a dialogue box appears saying ' excessive comms errors'.

Have i purchased a crap cable? or are there some settings within device manager or on the Vagcom i can adjust to overcome this problem??

Any help is much appreciated everyone!!!

Right, i've sorted it, just needed some settings tweeking, loving it now, think i may have to splash out the $99 or whatever it is for the full version!!
