Vag-Com Problem

i have an audi a3 1.8 20v sport. i been reading into the vag-com forum and am willing to buy a wire and the release for the vag-com to work, but i have discovered that having an aftermarket radio wont let me use vag-com? is that correct?

i didnt have the bose system i had the gamma stereo does this make any difference? can i work around this? i need to reset my airbag light bofore my m.o.t runs out!!!

would it be easier just disconnecting the system totally before attempting because it is a very expensive unit which i dnt wana ruin.

If you disconnect the radio, then the problem will go away.
