    Auto lock problems

    Hi All,

I bought a cable from Ross-Tech and used it with Vag-Com to enable the auto lock feature at 15MPH, which worked.

I did this by adding 32 to the number, as the vag-com tool tip thing suggests and it works, but if I stop and unlock the doors to let someone in, the doors don't seem to re-lock when I drive off again.

Is this normal? Or is there something I can do to make it re-lock when I drive off again after manually unlocking?

    I've got a 2001 (51 plate) A4 1.9 TDI (130BHP) B6.

    Cheers,

    Rich

Thanks for replying guys, it's good to know that it's nothing I've done wrong, although it's a shame it can't be sorted. Oh well...

    Cheers,

This does the same on mine, i have programmed the wife's A2 and this re-locks itself after been unlocked.
So the conclusion i have come to is if the central locking is air operated it will only lock once until the ignition is turned off and the car re-started, but if the central locking is electronically operated (as the A2) it will re-lock its self when you set off again without re-starting the car.

    Thanks Jimbo.King

It's a shame that there is no work around for this.
