MAF SENSOR READINGS...VAG-COM?

Ive been told a may have a faulty MAF ,although i have power,i dont have economy.
A4 tid 130 (awx engine) only does 24.6 m.p.g !!!! ive replaced temp sensor,ive heard a fault maf will give wrong readings (although will still work)

How can i check the readings via vag-com?
and what are good readings and what are bad?

Unless theres another reason its heavy on diesel!

16.00 pounds it used,it did 94.6 miles town driving @ 91.9 pence per litre.

Measuring block Group 02 or 03 should display the MAF reading. If you are using a full recent version of VAG-COM, it should suggest the range of typical in spec values.

The peak values are OK, but the graph itself looks a little bit erratic.

im lost what does this mean? im not very good with these things,now cars starting to hesitate in the morning, when i put my foot down i get hesitataton,puff of black smoke,and then it go's.

Ive replaced the maf with a new one from audi,problems not gone though(long starting,heavy fuel consumption)

oh and readings taken while driving in 4th gear at 3 an half thousand rpm.
