Audi A3 2002 - boot release broken ..

Hi,

I have just got a cable and hav ethe shareware VAG-com. My remote when pressed and pressed and held for ages does not release the boot at all ... IS this something i can check for in VAG-com?

How many buttons on your remote?

There should be a measuring block that allows you to see when each of the buttons is pressed but I don't know off the top of my head which one it is on an A3.

In a 2003 you should check meas. block 003 in the central locking control module (#35).

i have 3 buttons and would it be the same area for a 2002 A3?

I'm not quite sure what you mean .. I went into #35 and selected measuring blocks .. then put the counter upto 3???
