login lost due to dropped session

Hi, I brought VAG hardware to re-program a new key for my Audi 80 1995 2.5 v6. When I follow the instructions of ross-tech page where it states to login and enter a new value of 0 the program returns 'login lost due to dropped session'. when I go into adaption and try to chage any values it return 'ERROR'.

What is actually the problem here? Is my 4-pin Audi code incorrect?
    Or is it something else?

Any help would be great. Thank you in advance.
    Acer.

Yes, if it consistently drops the session after you enter the PIN, then the PIN is incorrect.

    Thank you.

I took the car to an audi dealership where they claim they can now only retrieve the 4 digit pin by "dialing-in" to germany and accessing the codes from their central database. After 5 hours of trying they couldn't get the code.

Any ideas on how I can hack the ECU and extract this code myself as it looks like that this is the only way for me to ever start my car. Even better does anyone have the schematics of some kind of imobillizer bypass module that I can build?

Thank you, any help is much appriciated.
