Hi all,
I have a 2002 passat 1.8T which has been chipped (Upsolute), Freeflow pipe (didn't want too much nose so went with 57mm and 2 teensy freeflow boxes), and BMC Freeflow Filter.

I have picked up an error, (Air Mass Sensor, low input).

I have noticed a very, (almost unnoticeable) stutter at low to medium load conditions.
Questions:
1. Are these 2 things related?
2. Could the (washable )- thus oil coated BMC filter damage the Air Mass Sensor?
3. Can the Air Mass Sensor be cleaned/what could the problem be?

Thanks

1. Probably, yes.
2. Yes.
3. It can but cleaning doesn't help in the long run, a new MAF is usually the way to go. Run a full throttle log and check the peak MAF value.
